The Kombucha Room

Mel grew up in Taiwan, where tea was most often the drink of choice. After she moved for grad school, Mel was surprised to see what a significant role alcohol played in American culture. She tried to embrace the lifestyle, but it never felt quite right. When she discovered kombucha, she felt excited and began dreaming of developing her own space to incorporate kombucha in a way that invited a sense of community, encouraged healthy consumption, and supported local businesses. So Mel left behind an uninspired life of consulting and in a matter of one year, two babies were born - her tiny human baby, Zen, and her business baby, The Kombucha Room.

“I'm doing this for myself and for the community. I am following my heart and following my mind.”
